Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.82%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST), which rose 6.32% or 10.75 points to trade at 180.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Safran SA (PA:SAF) added 3.86% or 4.20 points to end at 113.05 and Airbus Group SE (PA:AIR) was up 3.38% or 3.04 points to 92.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 2.14% or 1.36 points to trade at 62.26 at the close. Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (PA:MICP) declined 0.86% or 1.00 points to end at 115.70 and Total SA (PA:TOTF) was down 0.68% or 0.24 points to 34.90.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (PA:ELIOR) which rose 7.82% to 5.72, Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) which was up 6.32% to settle at 180.75 and Accor SA (PA:ACCP) which gained 4.86% to close at 30.64.
The worst performers were Mcphy Energy (PA:MCPHY) which was down 4.35% to 33.00 in late trade, SES (PA:SESFd) which lost 3.16% to settle at 6.94 and Neoen SA (PA:NEOEN) which was down 2.86% to 57.80 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 369 to 224 and 66 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 2.64% or 48.45 to $1786.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.29% or 0.16 to hit $55.53 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.44 to trade at $58.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.1979, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.8770.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 91.483.
