Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.81%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which rose 2.19% or 0.84 points to trade at 39.11 at the close. Meanwhile, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) added 2.10% or 17.40 points to end at 844.40 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was up 2.03% or 0.37 points to 18.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which fell 1.28% or 0.80 points to trade at 61.64 at the close. Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) declined 1.10% or 0.80 points to end at 71.78 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was down 0.81% or 1.80 points to 221.70.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which rose 4.20% to 1.70, Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which was up 3.25% to settle at 14.60 and SES (EPA:SESFd) which gained 3.25% to close at 6.04.
The worst performers were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which was down 8.62% to 282.00 in late trade, Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which lost 3.91% to settle at 1.97 and Ipsen SA (EPA:IPN) which was down 1.46% to 101.50 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 319 to 224 and 84 ended unchanged.
Shares in LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.10% or 17.40 to 844.40.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.15% or 2.90 to $1,994.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.56% or 1.16 to hit $75.53 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.42% or 1.12 to trade at $79.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 102.08.
