Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.56%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (PA:SGOB), which rose 2.76% or 0.88 points to trade at 32.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Schneider Electric SE (PA:SCHN) added 1.93% or 1.44 points to end at 76.16 and Peugeot SA (PA:PEUP) was up 1.83% or 0.36 points to 20.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 2.38% or 2.90 points to trade at 119.10 at the close. Bouygues SA (PA:BOUY) declined 0.72% or 0.25 points to end at 34.55 and Vivendi SA (PA:VIV) was down 0.43% or 0.11 points to 25.43.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eramet SA (PA:ERMT) which rose 7.81% to 45.12, Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:EUFI) which was up 5.20% to settle at 416.40 and Rexel (PA:RXL) which gained 4.69% to close at 9.65.
The worst performers were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which was down 2.38% to 119.10 in late trade, Genfit (PA:GNFT) which lost 1.73% to settle at 15.890 and JC Decaux SA (PA:JCDX) which was down 1.14% to 24.32 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 342 to 197 and 101 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 1.46% to 16.96.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 5.05 to $1531.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.59% or 1.47 to hit $55.24 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.20% or 1.33 to trade at $59.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.0986, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.9031.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 98.797.
