Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.52%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 3.31% or 1.26 points to trade at 39.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) added 2.16% or 2.20 points to end at 104.05 and Vinci SA (EPA:SGEF) was up 2.04% or 2.15 points to 107.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 2.13% or 1.94 points to trade at 89.00 at the close. Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:MICP) declined 1.73% or 0.60 points to end at 34.08 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) was down 1.58% or 34.00 points to 2,115.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Forvia (EPA:FRVIA) which rose 4.28% to 8.63, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was up 4.10% to settle at 6.35 and Renault SA (EPA:RENA) which gained 3.31% to close at 39.35.
The worst performers were JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX) which was down 2.43% to 18.89 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which lost 2.26% to settle at 3.37 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was down 2.13% to 89.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 288 to 206 and 103 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 1.75 to $2,633.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.46% or 0.34 to hit $73.23 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.52 to trade at $76.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 102.61.
