Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.33% to hit a new all time high, while the SBF 120 index added 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (PA:WLN), which rose 3.85% or 1.91 points to trade at 51.63 at the close. Meanwhile, WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) added 2.27% or 1.44 points to end at 64.85 and Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) was up 2.12% or 1.10 points to 53.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (PA:AIR), which fell 1.98% or 2.18 points to trade at 108.12 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (PA:TTEF) declined 1.69% or 0.74 points to end at 42.94 and Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:EUFI) was down 1.56% or 1.64 points to 103.16.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA (PA:WLN) which rose 3.85% to 51.63, CGG SA (PA:GEPH) which was up 2.49% to settle at 0.649 and Maisons du Monde SAS (PA:MDM) which gained 2.63% to close at 19.92.
The worst performers were Neoen SA (PA:NEOEN) which was down 6.92% to 37.38 in late trade, DBV Technologies (PA:DBV) which lost 6.93% to settle at 5.29 and Mcphy Energy (PA:MCPHY) which was down 5.36% to 22.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 344 to 275 and 80 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) rose to all time highs; rising 2.12% or 1.10 to 53.01.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 6-months high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.43% or 25.55 to $1763.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.56% or 2.99 to hit $80.92 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.09% or 2.62 to trade at $82.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1585, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8482.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 94.052.
