Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.27%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 3.12% or 1.92 points to trade at 63.51 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 2.97% or 0.84 points to end at 29.14 and Vinci SA (PA:SGEF) was up 2.49% or 2.46 points to 101.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:EUFI), which fell 3.21% or 2.92 points to trade at 87.97 at the close. Worldline SA (PA:WLN) declined 2.39% or 1.05 points to end at 42.80 and Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) was down 2.34% or 0.99 points to 41.27.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Orpea SA (PA:ORP) which rose 8.73% to 35.00, Aeroports de Paris SA (PA:ADP) which was up 4.81% to settle at 127.55 and Air France KLM SA (PA:AIRF) which gained 4.70% to close at 4.30.
The worst performers were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (PA:STDM) which was down 8.11% to 361.60 in late trade, Ovh Groupe SAS (PA:OVH) which lost 4.50% to settle at 22.80 and Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:EUFI) which was down 3.21% to 87.97 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 300 to 257 and 95 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vinci SA (PA:SGEF) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.49% or 2.46 to 101.36.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.37% or 6.75 to $1828.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.71% or 1.56 to hit $89.76 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.81% or 1.68 to trade at $91.01 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1421, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8432.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 95.593.
