Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.26%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 5.21% or 2.32 points to trade at 46.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) added 3.55% or 0.09 points to end at 2.60 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was up 2.52% or 2.02 points to 82.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which fell 3.01% or 3.35 points to trade at 108.00 at the close. Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) declined 1.17% or 0.40 points to end at 33.87 and Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) was down 1.06% or 0.33 points to 30.71.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which unchanged 31.25% to 0.00, Vusiongroup SA (EPA:VU) which was up 11.72% to settle at 149.70 and Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which gained 6.20% to close at 5.09.
The worst performers were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was down 4.47% to 8.43 in late trade, Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) which lost 3.01% to settle at 108.00 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was down 2.11% to 12.30 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 260 to 234 and 96 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.37% or 9.95 to $2,652.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.60% or 0.42 to hit $70.50 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.75 to trade at $73.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 106.86.
