Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.09%, while the SBF 120 index unchanged 0%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP), which rose 3.25% or 1.64 points to trade at 52.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (PA:MICP) added 2.13% or 2.65 points to end at 127.15 and Legrand SA (PA:LEGD) was up 1.84% or 1.38 points to 76.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (PA:WLN), which fell 3.19% or 2.26 points to trade at 68.58 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 2.82% or 0.64 points to end at 22.02 and Total SA (PA:TOTF) was down 1.67% or 0.66 points to 38.74.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP) which rose 3.25% to 52.08, Trigano SA (PA:TRIA) which was up 2.71% to settle at 155.50 and Virbac SA (PA:VIRB) which gained 2.61% to close at 216.50.
The worst performers were Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (PA:GTT) which was down 3.58% to 67.40 in late trade, Vallourec (PA:VLLP) which lost 3.53% to settle at 29.135 and Technip Energies BV (PA:TE) which was down 3.41% to 12.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 364 to 227 and 65 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.45% or 7.80 to $1725.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 4.64% or 2.84 to hit $58.34 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 4.22% or 2.72 to trade at $61.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.01% to 1.1765, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.8568.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 92.915.
