Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Beverages, Personal Goods and Health Care Equipment & Services Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 1.18%, while the SBF 120 index added 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA (PARIS:LVMH), which rose 3.33% or 4.25 points to trade at 131.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Bouygues (PARIS:BOUY) added 3.29% or 0.97 points to end at 30.58 and Orange SA (PARIS:ORAN) was up 3.01% or 0.42 points to 14.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Technip (PARIS:TECF), which fell 3.97% or 1.90 points to trade at 45.87 at the close. Arcelormittal (AMS:ISPA) declined 2.60% or 0.23 points to end at 8.52 and Alcatel-Lucent (PARIS:ALUA) was down 2.46% or 0.072 points to 2.859.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Saft (PARIS:S1A) which rose 6.51% to 26.83, Faurecia (PARIS:EPED) which was up 4.74% to settle at 31.46 and Teleperformance (PARIS:ROCH) which gained 4.73% to close at 59.80.
The worst performers were Neopost (PARIS:NPOS) which was down 4.10% to 44.62 in late trade, Technip (PARIS:TECF) which lost 3.97% to settle at 45.87 and Vallourec (PARIS:VLLP) which was down 3.85% to 19.38 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 531 to 347 and 72 ended unchanged.

Shares in Arcelormittal (AMS:ISPA) fell to 52 weeks lows; down 2.60% or 0.23 to 8.52.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 2.17% to 28.28 a new 1 month high.
Gold for February delivery was up 1.07% or 13.00 to $1229.10 a troy ounce.
Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for delivery in February fell 3.91% or 1.89 to hit $46.47 a barrel, while the March brent oil contract fell 4.59% or 2.35 to trade at $48.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1823, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.7794.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 92.27.
