Investing.com – China stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil Equipment Services & Distribution, Software & Computer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher while losses in the Banking, Life Insurance and Gas, Water & Multiutilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite declined 0.18% to hit a new 52-week low, while the SZSE Component index gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were ZhongTongGuoMai Communication Co Ltd (SS:603559), which rose 10.00% or 2.340 points to trade at 25.740 at the close. Meanwhile, SEC Electric Machinery Co Ltd (SS:603988) added 10.00% or 1.26 points to end at 13.86 and GuangDong Super Telecom Co Ltd (SS:603322) was up 8.99% or 2.280 points to 27.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nanjing Central Emporium Group Stocks Co Ltd (SS:600280), which fell 10.08% or 0.500 points to trade at 4.460 at the close. Maanshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd (SS:600808) declined 10.05% or 0.410 points to end at 3.670 and Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co Ltd (SS:600426) was down 10.01% or 1.620 points to 14.560.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Taiya Shoes Co Ltd (SZ:002517) which rose 9.96% to 5.30, Yantai Jereh Oilfield Services Group Co Ltd (SZ:002353) which was up 6.18% to settle at 21.12 and Ourpalm (SZ:300315) which gained 5.83% to close at 4.36.
The worst performers were Shandong Qixing Iron Tower Co Ltd (SZ:002359) which was down 9.98% to 9.74 in late trade, Sgis Songshan Co Ltd (SZ:000717) which lost 9.30% to settle at 6.44 and Hunan Valin Steel Co Ltd (SZ:000932) which was down 8.93% to 8.260 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 748 to 588 and 108 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nanjing Central Emporium Group Stocks Co Ltd (SS:600280) fell to 5-year lows; falling 10.08% or 0.500 to 4.460. Shares in Shandong Qixing Iron Tower Co Ltd (SZ:002359) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.98% or 1.08 to 9.74. Shares in Yantai Jereh Oilfield Services Group Co Ltd (SZ:002353) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.18% or 1.23 to 21.12.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 24.70.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.60 to $1202.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.38% or 0.26 to hit $67.80 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.74% or 0.57 to trade at $77.94 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.05% to 6.8582, while EUR/CNY rose 0.40% to 7.9804.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.89.
