Investing.com – China stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Mobile and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite declined 1.68%, while the SZSE Component index fell 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Kama-B (SS:900953), which rose 10.06% or 0.087 points to trade at 0.952 at the close. Meanwhile, Neway Valve (SS:603699) added 10.02% or 2.080 points to end at 22.830 and Luoyang Glass (SS:600876) was up 10.02% or 1.780 points to 19.540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zhongfu (SS:600595), which fell 10.05% or 0.890 points to trade at 7.970 at the close. Huafang Co (SS:600448) declined 10.04% or 0.850 points to end at 7.620 and Tianli Tech (SS:600339) was down 10.03% or 0.730 points to 6.550.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shandong Mining Machinery Group Co Ltd (SZ:002526) which rose 10.06% to 8.64, Juli Sling Co Ltd (SZ:002342) which was up 10.03% to settle at 7.02 and Thaihot Group Co Ltd (SZ:000732) which gained 10.02% to close at 26.69.
The worst performers were Shenzhen Hifuture Electric (SZ:002168) which was down 10.03% to 11.48 in late trade, Shandong Polymer Biochemicals Co Ltd (SZ:002476) which lost 10.03% to settle at 10.760 and China Oil HBP Science & Technology Co Ltd (SZ:002554) which was down 10.02% to 11.85 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 716 to 256.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was up 25.81% to 38.51.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.09% or 1.00 to $1095.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.64% or 0.30 to hit $47.09 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.16% or 0.62 to trade at $52.85 a barrel.
USD/CNY was unchanged 0.00% to 6.2095, while EUR/CNY fell 0.21% to 6.8729.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 96.80.
