Investing.com – China stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Mobile and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite declined 1.33% to hit a new 52-week low, while the SZSE Component index lost 1.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Zhe Jiang Dong Ri Ltd Co (SS:600113), which rose 10.06% or 0.810 points to trade at 8.860 at the close. Meanwhile, Nanjing Panda Electronics Co Ltd (SS:600775) added 6.31% or 0.37 points to end at 6.23 and PNC Process Systems Co Ltd (SS:603690) was up 6.06% or 1.28 points to 22.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MeiDu Energy Corp (SS:600175), which fell 10.10% or 0.420 points to trade at 3.740 at the close. Shangying Global Co Ltd (SS:600146) declined 10.00% or 1.80 points to end at 16.20 and Hainan HNA Infrastructure Investment Group Co Ltd (SS:600515) was down 9.96% or 0.730 points to 6.600.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Harbin Gloria Pharmaceuticals (SZ:002437) which rose 9.29% to 4.59, HC Semitek Corp (SZ:300323) which was up 4.03% to settle at 12.65 and Giant Network Group Co Ltd (SZ:002558) which gained 3.38% to close at 19.27.
The worst performers were Jiangsu Aucksun Co Ltd (SZ:002245) which was down 10.02% to 5.12 in late trade, Shanghai Ganglian E Commerce (SZ:300226) which lost 10.00% to settle at 45.26 and Hangzhou Tigermed Consulting (SZ:300347) which was down 10.00% to 51.30 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 1231 to 170 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in MeiDu Energy Corp (SS:600175) fell to 5-year lows; falling 10.10% or 0.420 to 3.740. Shares in Shangying Global Co Ltd (SS:600146) fell to 3-years lows; falling 10.00% or 1.80 to 16.20. Shares in Hainan HNA Infrastructure Investment Group Co Ltd (SS:600515) fell to 5-year lows; down 9.96% or 0.730 to 6.600. Shares in Jiangsu Aucksun Co Ltd (SZ:002245) fell to 3-years lows; down 10.02% or 0.57 to 5.12.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 6.69% to 24.42.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.10 to $1181.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $65.50 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $71.48 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.07% to 6.8873, while EUR/CNY rose 0.17% to 7.8434.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 96.39.
