Investing.com – China stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure, Media and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.30%, while the SZSE Component index lost 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Shanghai Qiangsheng Holding Co Ltd (SS:600662), which rose 10.12% or 0.420 points to trade at 4.570 at the close. Meanwhile, Tibet Tianlu Co Ltd (SS:600326) added 10.05% or 0.750 points to end at 8.210 and Nanning Department Store Co Ltd (SS:600712) was up 10.04% or 0.520 points to 5.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zhengping Road & Bridge Construction Co Ltd (SS:603843), which fell 10.04% or 1.000 points to trade at 8.960 at the close. Shanghai Hile Bio Technology Co Ltd (SS:603718) declined 10.00% or 1.230 points to end at 11.070 and Tengda Construction Group Co Ltd (SS:600512) was down 9.48% or 0.290 points to 2.770.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Walvax BioTech (SZ:300142) which rose 9.99% to 21.35, Shaanxi J&R Fire Protection Co Ltd (SZ:300116) which was up 6.75% to settle at 2.69 and Beijing SL Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SZ:002038) which gained 5.53% to close at 36.84.
The worst performers were Hand Enterprise Solutions Co (SZ:300170) which was down 9.91% to 13.45 in late trade, Anhui Shengyun Environment-Protection Group Co Ltd (SZ:300090) which lost 7.06% to settle at 3.82 and Shenzhen Jiawei Photovoltaic Lighting Co Ltd (SZ:300317) which was down 6.74% to 7.33 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 850 to 524 and 50 ended unchanged.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 22.15.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.11% or 1.30 to $1224.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $69.47 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $74.45 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.14% to 6.8026, while EUR/CNY rose 0.25% to 7.9296.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 94.45.
