Investing.com – China stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Life Insurance, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 1.28%, while the SZSE Component index climbed 1.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Jinzhou Port (SS:600190), which rose 10.10% or 0.530 points to trade at 5.780 at the close. Meanwhile, Hebang Corp (SS:603077) added 10.08% or 0.520 points to end at 5.680 and Eagle Mining (SS:600711) was up 10.05% or 0.630 points to 6.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lotus Gourmet (SS:600186), which fell 10.04% or 1.050 points to trade at 9.410 at the close. Harbin Air Con (SS:600202) declined 5.62% or 0.590 points to end at 9.900 and Luoyang Glass (SS:600876) was down 4.74% or 1.510 points to 30.370.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Inner Mongolia Xingye Mining Co Ltd (SZ:000426) which rose 10.07% to 5.90, Shenyang Machine Tool Co Ltd (SZ:000410) which was up 10.02% to settle at 21.20 and Shantui Construction Machinery Co Ltd (SZ:000680) which gained 10.02% to close at 5.71.
The worst performers were Zhejiang Jingsheng Mech Electric (SZ:300316) which was down 10.00% to 20.98 in late trade, Yantai Jereh Oilfield Services Group Co Ltd (SZ:002353) which lost 9.99% to settle at 32.34 and Zhejiang Wanfeng Auto Wheel Co Ltd (SZ:002085) which was down 9.68% to 27.91 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 814 to 135.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 1.86% to 34.90 a new 1-month low.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.18% or 2.10 to $1146.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.66% or 0.82 to hit $50.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.23% or 0.65 to trade at $53.70 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.13% to 6.3455, while EUR/CNY rose 0.17% to 7.1758.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 95.14.
