Investing.com – China stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Life Insurance, Retailers and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 1.06% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SZSE Component index added 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Shanghai Hongda Mining Co Ltd (SS:600532), which rose 10.13% or 0.400 points to trade at 4.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Shanxi Guoxin Energy Co Ltd A (SS:600617) added 10.07% or 0.580 points to end at 6.340 and Silvery Dragon Prestressed Materials Co Ltd Tianjin (SS:603969) was up 10.06% or 0.48 points to 5.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Beijing Huaye Capital Holdings Co Ltd (SS:600240), which fell 10.05% or 0.610 points to trade at 5.460 at the close. Gangtai Holdin (SS:600687) declined 9.98% or 0.410 points to end at 3.700 and Anhui Xinli Finance Co Ltd (SS:600318) was down 9.96% or 1.100 points to 9.940.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shenzhen InfoGem Technologies Co Ltd (SZ:300085) which rose 10.02% to 10.54, By health (SZ:300146) which was up 7.67% to settle at 20.50 and YOUZU Interactive Co Ltd (SZ:002174) which gained 6.72% to close at 16.190.
The worst performers were Shenzhen Ysstech Info-Tech Co Ltd (SZ:300377) which was down 9.98% to 12.45 in late trade, Xiamen Meiya Pico Information (SZ:300188) which lost 6.58% to settle at 15.89 and Shennan Circuits Co Ltd Class A (SZ:002916) which was down 4.58% to 71.31 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 1186 to 200 and 70 ended unchanged.

Shares in Gangtai Holdin (SS:600687) fell to 5-year lows; down 9.98% or 0.410 to 3.700. Shares in Anhui Xinli Finance Co Ltd (SS:600318) fell to 3-years lows; falling 9.96% or 1.100 to 9.940. Shares in By health (SZ:300146) rose to 3-years highs; up 7.67% or 1.46 to 20.50.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.66.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.80 to $1186.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.26% or 0.19 to hit $72.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.25% or 0.20 to trade at $81.58 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.08% to 6.8848, while EUR/CNY fell 0.20% to 8.0054.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 94.69.
