Investing.com – China stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Life Insurance, Retailers and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.94%, while the SZSE Component index gained 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Yunnan Yunwei (SS:600725), which rose 10.10% or 0.520 points to trade at 5.670 at the close. Meanwhile, Datong Coal (SS:601001) added 10.09% or 0.550 points to end at 6.000 and Tianjin Global (SS:600800) was up 10.06% or 0.690 points to 7.550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jinbei Automot (SS:600609), which fell 10.01% or 0.720 points to trade at 6.470 at the close. Tianyi Science (SS:600378) declined 9.98% or 2.290 points to end at 20.650 and Huajing (SS:600886) was down 9.97% or 1.200 points to 10.840.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shanghai Metersbonwe Fashion&Accessories Co Ltd (SZ:002269) which rose 10.09% to 6.00, Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Joint Stock Co Ltd (SZ:002067) which was up 10.07% to settle at 8.09 and Gansu Jingyuan Coal Industry and Electricity Power Co Ltd (SZ:000552) which gained 10.04% to close at 8.22.
The worst performers were Beijing Philisense Tech (SZ:300287) which was down 9.99% to 39.56 in late trade, Shaanxi Ligeance Mineral Resources Co Ltd (SZ:000697) which lost 9.36% to settle at 18.11 and Sichuan Jinlu Group Co Ltd (SZ:000510) which was down 5.01% to 8.72 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 661 to 298.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 7.37% to 37.84 a new 1-month low.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.14% or 1.60 to $1134.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.00% or 0.94 to hit $46.02 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.39% or 0.68 to trade at $48.24 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.08% to 6.3744, while EUR/CNY fell 0.03% to 7.1288.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 96.03.
