Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Electric Power and Public Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Ambev SA (BVMF:ABEV3), which rose 4.08% or 0.52 points to trade at 13.25 at the close. Meanwhile, SLC Agricola SA (BVMF:SLCE3) added 3.22% or 0.56 points to end at 17.97 and Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:BEEF3) was up 2.74% or 0.16 points to 6.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4), which fell 7.91% or 0.39 points to trade at 4.54 at the close. Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF:RAIZ4) declined 4.55% or 0.12 points to end at 2.52 and Lwsa SA (BVMF:LWSA3) was down 4.28% or 0.16 points to 3.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 531 to 474 and 45 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 5.72% to 33.82.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.77% or 20.70 to $2,660.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $68.17 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract fell 7.17% or 22.80 to trade at $295.25 .
USD/BRL was up 1.43% to 6.06, while EUR/BRL rose 0.31% to 6.36.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 106.39.
