Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Information Technology, Basic Metals and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.69% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which rose 15.00% or 0.210 points to trade at 1.610 at the close. Meanwhile, Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) added 7.19% or 0.500 points to end at 7.450 and Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) was up 5.27% or 0.44 points to 8.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which fell 9.80% or 0.200 points to trade at 1.840 at the close. Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS) declined 3.63% or 0.34 points to end at 9.03 and Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) was down 3.47% or 0.160 points to 4.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 177 to 151 and 78 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.61% or 7.65 to $1242.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.49% or 0.80 to hit $53.03 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.54% or 0.87 to trade at $55.49 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.36% to 3.7055, while EUR/TRY rose 1.19% to 3.9031.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 102.00.
