Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 4.50% or 2.000 points to trade at 46.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) added 4.24% or 0.220 points to end at 5.410 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was up 3.23% or 0.130 points to 4.160 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which fell 19.88% or 1.010 points to trade at 4.070 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) declined 5.98% or 1.22 points to end at 19.18 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was down 5.49% or 0.310 points to 5.340.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 255 to 109 and 43 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) rose to all time highs; rising 4.50% or 2.000 to 46.400.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.81% or 11.45 to $1419.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.59% or 0.33 to hit $56.58 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.23% or 0.77 to trade at $63.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.28% to 5.6326, while EUR/TRY fell 0.37% to 6.3498.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.377.
