Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Food & Beverages and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 6.32% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.850 at the close. Meanwhile, Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) added 4.39% or 0.13 points to end at 3.09 and Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) was up 3.33% or 0.050 points to 1.550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Erbosan (IS:ERBOS) declined 2.93% or 0.95 points to end at 31.50 and Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN) was down 2.22% or 0.030 points to 1.320.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 208 to 186 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.55% or 17.40 to $1103.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.81% or 0.83 to hit $45.11 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.09% or 1.03 to trade at $48.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.81% to 3.0335, while EUR/TRY rose 0.37% to 3.3862.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 96.24.
