Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were mixed after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Telecoms, Transport and Services sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Staples, Real Estate & Construction and Finance & Investment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General declined 1.15% to hit a new 52-week low, while the ADX General index added 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were ARAMEX PJSC (DU:ARMX), which rose 2.15% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Emirate Integrated Telecom Co PJSC (DU:DU) added 1.18% or 0.060 points to end at 5.150 and Air Arabia PJSC (DU:AIRA) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Emirates Refreshments Company (DU:ERC), which fell 9.88% or 0.400 points to trade at 3.650 at the close. SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) declined 7.21% or 0.080 points to end at 1.030 and Takaful House (DU:DTKF) was down 5.42% or 0.039 points to 0.680.
The top performers on the ADX General were Al Khazna Ins (AD:AKIC) which rose 7.41% to 0.290, Ad Natl Energy (AD:TAQA) which was up 4.69% to settle at 0.670 and International Holding Company PJSC (AD:IHC) which gained 1.41% to close at 1.44.
The worst performers were Sharjah Cement AD (AD:SCID) which was down 7.41% to 1.250 in late trade, Bank Of Sharja (AD:BOS) which lost 5.04% to settle at 1.130 and Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which was down 2.67% to 0.730 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 30 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 11 rose and 9 declined, while 12 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $61.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.85% or 0.55 to hit $64.88 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.60 to trade at $1349.70 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was down 0.00% to 3.6729, while EUR/AED fell 0.82% to 4.5566.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 89.03.
