Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate & Construction, Insurance and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General rose 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high, while the ADX General index added 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Deyaar Development PJSC (DU:DEYR), which rose 3.92% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Takaful House (DU:DTKF) added 2.78% or 0.030 points to end at 1.110 and Amlak Finance PJSC (DU:AMLK) was up 2.20% or 0.021 points to 0.975 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR), which fell 2.11% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.860 at the close. SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) declined 1.36% or 0.020 points to end at 1.450 and Emaar Malls (DU:EMAA) was down 1.17% or 0.030 points to 2.530.
The top performers on the ADX General were Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which rose 15.00% to 0.690, Fujairah Cement Industries Co PSC (AD:FCI) which was up 12.37% to settle at 1.090 and Al Khazna Ins (AD:AKIC) which gained 9.76% to close at 0.450.
The worst performers were Abu Dhabi National for Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:BILD) which was down 8.33% to 0.550 in late trade, First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC (AD:FAB) which lost 0.46% to settle at 10.80 and Ad Islamic Bk (AD:ADIB) which was down 0.28% to 3.610 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 20 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 19 rose and 3 declined, while 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dana Gas (AD:DANA) rose to 52-week highs; up 15.00% or 0.090 to 0.690.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.26% or 0.12 to $46.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.29% or 0.14 to hit $48.43 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 3.92 to trade at $1264.98 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6731, while EUR/AED rose 0.05% to 4.1173.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 97.00.
