Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Finance & Investment, Insurance and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General gained 0.25%, while the ADX General index climbed 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC (DU:GNAV), which rose 6.56% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Islamic Arab Insurance Company (DU:SALAMA) added 2.98% or 0.013 points to end at 0.449 and Amlak Finance PJSC (DU:AMLK) was up 2.83% or 0.030 points to 1.090 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA), which fell 1.18% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.67 at the close. Gulf General Investments Company (DU:GGIC) declined 1.06% or 0.004 points to end at 0.375 and National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR) was down 0.97% or 0.020 points to 2.040.
The top performers on the ADX General were Finance House (AD:FH) which rose 3.23% to 1.600, Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:ESHR) which was up 2.78% to settle at 0.7400 and Sharjah Islami (AD:SIB) which gained 1.48% to close at 1.370.
The worst performers were Union Insurance Co PSC (AD:UNIN) which was down 9.68% to 1.68 in late trade, National Takaful Co PJSC (AD:WATA) which lost 9.43% to settle at 0.48 and Bank Of Sharja (AD:BOS) which was down 2.42% to 1.210 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 11 fell and 9 advanced, while 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in National Takaful Co PJSC (AD:WATA) fell to all time lows; falling 9.43% or 0.05 to 0.48.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $50.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.20% or 0.11 to hit $56.01 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.25 to trade at $1274.05 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6732, while EUR/AED rose 0.22% to 4.3183.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.39.
