Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Finance & Investment, Transport and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 0.17%, while the ADX General index added 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Dubai Investments PJSC (DU:DINV), which rose 2.33% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Emirates NBD PJSC (DU:ENBD) added 1.83% or 0.150 points to end at 8.350 and ARAMEX PJSC (DU:ARMX) was up 1.39% or 0.070 points to 5.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:TKFE), which fell 3.63% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.860 at the close. Amlak Finance PJSC (DU:AMLK) declined 2.70% or 0.030 points to end at 1.080 and Gulf General Investments Company (DU:GGIC) was down 2.40% or 0.010 points to 0.407.
The top performers on the ADX General were Abu Dhabi National Hotels Co (AD:ADNH) which rose 9.26% to 2.95, Ad Aviation (AD:ADAV) which was up 6.79% to settle at 2.990 and Al Khazna Ins (AD:AKIC) which gained 3.33% to close at 0.310.
The worst performers were Al Ain Ahlia Insurance Co PSC (AD:AAIC) which was down 5.00% to 40.85 in late trade, Sharjah Cement AD (AD:SCID) which lost 1.83% to settle at 1.070 and Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:ARKN) which was down 1.43% to 0.6900 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 21 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 11 fell and 10 advanced, while 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dubai Investments PJSC (DU:DINV) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.33% or 0.060 to 2.630. Shares in Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:TKFE) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.63% or 0.070 to 1.860. Shares in Al Ain Ahlia Insurance Co PSC (AD:AAIC) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.00% or 2.15 to 40.85.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.26% or 0.14 to $54.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.23% or 0.14 to hit $60.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.60 to trade at $1274.10 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6730, while EUR/AED fell 0.20% to 4.2719.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 94.50.
