Investing.com - U.S. stock index futures were higher Thursday after the FOMC as expected raised its target rate.
However, the Fed continued to signal only two more hikes this year amid bets for three increases.
The Dow futures was up 0.30% at 07:00 ET. The DJI added 0.54% overnight.
The S&P 500 futures added 0.25%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.27%.
The gains were in line with a global stock rally as the Fed leaned on the "dovish" side.
The dollar edged higher after losses of 1% overnight on the FOMC decision.
Oil extended gains, buoyed by a fall in official EIA inventories.
Housing starts and weekly jobless claims are due out before the opening bell.
