Investing.com - Wall Street was on track for a modestly lower open on Monday as stock futures, including the benchmark S&P 500, which earlier hit a record high, reversed gains
The Dow futures index was down 39.5 points or 0.19% by 05.38 ET
The S&P 500 futures shed 3.75 points, or 0.16%, while the Nasdaq 100 futures traded down 7.87 points, or 0.14%
Stock futures initially rose after Emmanuel Macron’s presidential election victory over Marine Le Pen on Sunday
But market gains were already priced in amid anticipation of a Macron victory
Questions also remain about what Macron can achieve ahead of French parliamentary elections in June
The S&P 500 notched a record-high close on Friday, as energy stocks bounced back and after the latest U.S. jobs report showed that employment growth rebounded in April
