Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Insurance and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.64% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO), which rose 3.19% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER) added 2.73% or 0.51 points to end at 19.16 and Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) was up 2.42% or 0.030 points to 1.270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS), which fell 7.08% or 0.46 points to trade at 6.04 at the close. Yapi Ve Kredi Bank. (IS:YKBNK) declined 3.88% or 0.140 points to end at 3.470 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) was down 3.25% or 1.12 points to 33.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 188 to 132 and 85 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.69% or 9.05 to $1299.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.88% or 0.40 to hit $44.94 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.20 to trade at $46.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 3.1152, while EUR/TRY fell 0.01% to 3.4583.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 97.27.
