Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Holdings & Investments, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 2.55% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi AS (IS:KAYSE), which rose 0.46% or 0.12 points to trade at 26.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkish Airlines (IS:THYAO) added 0.17% or 0.50 points to end at 295.00 and Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK) was up 0.11% or 0.20 points to 179.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which fell 7.89% or 5.70 points to trade at 66.50 at the close. Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) declined 6.31% or 1.02 points to end at 15.14 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was down 6.23% or 4.50 points to 67.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 470 to 95 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.46% or 36.75 to $2,553.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.42% or 1.77 to hit $74.78 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.20% or 1.70 to trade at $78.92 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.75% to 33.96, while EUR/TRY rose 0.84% to 38.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 100.60.
