Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Real Estate Investments and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 2.54% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 3.86% or 1.100 points to trade at 29.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) added 2.58% or 11.20 points to end at 445.50 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was up 2.36% or 1.80 points to 78.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 12.80% or 0.160 points to trade at 1.090 at the close. Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS) declined 12.00% or 0.210 points to end at 1.540 and Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) was down 11.53% or 0.370 points to 2.840.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 319 to 52 and 32 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.92% or 11.85 to $1299.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.92% or 0.57 to hit $61.09 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.68% or 0.48 to trade at $70.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.92% to 6.0903, while EUR/TRY rose 1.72% to 6.8409.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.102.
