Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Tourism and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 2.32%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which rose 2.06% or 0.130 points to trade at 6.450 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) added 1.81% or 2.20 points to end at 124.00 and Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) was up 1.73% or 0.030 points to 1.760 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS), which fell 8.74% or 1.240 points to trade at 12.940 at the close. Gersan Elektrik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:GEREL) declined 5.45% or 0.120 points to end at 2.080 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) was down 5.20% or 0.340 points to 6.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 336 to 46 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.28% or 3.95 to $1410.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.30% or 0.18 to hit $60.38 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.42% or 0.28 to trade at $66.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 5.7088, while EUR/TRY rose 0.71% to 6.4259.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.550.
