Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Wood, Paper & Printing and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.69%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 11.79% or 1.690 points to trade at 16.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) added 3.13% or 0.040 points to end at 1.320 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 1.17% or 0.030 points to 2.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA), which fell 9.34% or 21.20 points to trade at 205.80 at the close. Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) declined 5.91% or 0.110 points to end at 1.750 and Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) was down 5.56% or 2.95 points to 50.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 299 to 76 and 32 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1201.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.32% or 0.22 to hit $67.53 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.30% or 0.23 to trade at $77.06 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.97% to 6.4704, while EUR/TRY rose 1.39% to 7.5103.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.08.
