Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.58% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which rose 9.98% or 15.20 points to trade at 167.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) added 6.16% or 28.25 points to end at 486.50 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) was up 2.74% or 1.40 points to 52.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which fell 7.99% or 8.25 points to trade at 94.95 at the close. Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) declined 5.44% or 8.00 points to end at 139.00 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) was down 5.13% or 11.90 points to 220.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 420 to 145 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 8.15 to $2,738.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.54% or 1.06 to hit $69.75 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.25% or 0.91 to trade at $73.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.80% to 34.26, while EUR/TRY fell 0.15% to 37.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 103.71.
