Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Real Estate Investments and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.48%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK), which rose 17.72% or 0.280 points to trade at 1.860 at the close. Meanwhile, Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) added 8.86% or 0.72 points to end at 8.85 and Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH) was up 4.23% or 0.150 points to 3.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO), which fell 4.62% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.650 at the close. Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) declined 3.94% or 0.050 points to end at 1.220 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was down 3.68% or 1.66 points to 43.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 250 to 109 and 45 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.53% or 6.95 to $1299.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.28% or 0.76 to hit $60.05 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.11% or 0.75 to trade at $68.36 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.11% to 5.4693, while EUR/TRY fell 0.08% to 6.2090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 95.942.
