Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports, Real Estate Investments and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.44% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC), which rose 7.88% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) added 4.19% or 2.07 points to end at 51.45 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 3.08% or 0.130 points to 4.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 7.50% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.480 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 6.64% or 0.320 points to end at 4.500 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was down 5.52% or 2.34 points to 40.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 285 to 78 and 43 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) rose to all time highs; up 4.19% or 2.07 to 51.45.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.27% or 3.50 to $1300.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $64.85 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.16% or 0.87 to trade at $74.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.59% to 4.6187, while EUR/TRY rose 0.53% to 5.4013.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 94.02.
