Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.28%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO), which rose 20.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 0.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) added 17.10% or 1.440 points to end at 9.860 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) was up 4.29% or 0.120 points to 2.920 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS), which fell 3.89% or 4.05 points to trade at 99.95 at the close. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 3.74% or 0.62 points to end at 15.94 and Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) was down 3.45% or 0.070 points to 1.960.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 227 to 128 and 50 ended unchanged.
Shares in GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) rose to all time highs; up 20.00% or 0.150 to 0.900. Shares in Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) rose to 52-week highs; rising 17.10% or 1.440 to 9.860.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.03% or 0.40 to $1340.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.12% or 1.39 to hit $64.17 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.68% or 1.16 to trade at $68.04 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.28% to 3.7823, while EUR/TRY fell 0.02% to 4.6977.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 88.97.
