Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Information Technology and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.19%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which rose 19.94% or 0.680 points to trade at 4.090 at the close. Meanwhile, Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) added 2.54% or 0.050 points to end at 2.020 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 1.93% or 0.140 points to 7.390 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM), which fell 4.57% or 0.36 points to trade at 7.51 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) declined 4.44% or 1.58 points to end at 34.00 and Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) was down 3.91% or 2.20 points to 54.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 325 to 52 and 28 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.46% or 6.20 to $1330.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.61% or 0.39 to hit $63.76 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.92% or 0.62 to trade at $67.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.31% to 3.7787, while EUR/TRY fell 0.49% to 4.6658.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 89.72.
