Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Food & Beverages and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which rose 7.05% or 0.56 points to trade at 8.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) added 5.06% or 0.130 points to end at 2.700 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) was up 3.19% or 0.42 points to 13.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK), which fell 4.70% or 1.72 points to trade at 34.88 at the close. BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) declined 3.91% or 1.90 points to end at 46.74 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was down 3.57% or 1.26 points to 34.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 184 to 172 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.07% or 16.45 to $1553.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.22% or 0.12 to hit $53.76 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $58.09 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.13% to 5.8274, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 6.4656.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 97.898.
