Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Telecoms and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM), which rose 2.56% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) added 2.12% or 0.040 points to end at 1.930 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was up 2.10% or 0.190 points to 9.230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI), which fell 6.79% or 3.90 points to trade at 53.50 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 3.85% or 0.260 points to end at 6.500 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was down 3.74% or 0.53 points to 13.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 235 to 125 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) rose to all time highs; up 2.56% or 0.080 to 3.200.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.59% or 7.80 to $1312.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.47% or 0.29 to hit $62.02 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.11 to trade at $67.89 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.55% to 3.7666, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 4.4947.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 92.26.
