Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Electricity and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE), which rose 3.94% or 0.500 points to trade at 13.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel (IS:VESTL) added 1.65% or 0.090 points to end at 5.540 and Sinpas Gmyo (IS:SNGYO) was up 1.52% or 0.010 points to 0.670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 5.74% or 1.20 points to trade at 19.70 at the close. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) declined 5.56% or 0.110 points to end at 1.870 and Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) was down 4.69% or 0.030 points to 0.610.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 315 to 89 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.28% or 3.30 to $1166.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.96% or 0.43 to hit $44.17 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.39% or 0.18 to trade at $47.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.68% to 2.8868, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 3.1940.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 96.83.
