Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Tourism and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.03% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which rose 6.40% or 0.13 points to trade at 2.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) added 2.53% or 0.020 points to end at 0.810 and Iskenderun Demir ve Celik AS (IS:ISDMR) was up 2.34% or 0.160 points to 7.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS), which fell 19.81% or 0.410 points to trade at 1.660 at the close. Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) declined 6.36% or 0.180 points to end at 2.650 and Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) was down 6.16% or 0.090 points to 1.370.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 312 to 60 and 33 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.04% or 0.45 to $1281.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.53% or 0.33 to hit $61.61 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.29 to trade at $70.56 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.03% to 6.0146, while EUR/TRY rose 0.83% to 6.7349.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.315.
