Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Holdings & Investments and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 7.55% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.140 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) added 6.12% or 0.030 points to end at 0.520 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.79% or 0.340 points to 7.440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 4.46% or 1.04 points to trade at 22.30 at the close. Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (IS:SAHOL) declined 4.38% or 0.42 points to end at 9.18 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was down 3.96% or 0.210 points to 5.090.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 214 to 135 and 58 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.55% or 0.080 to 1.140.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.36% or 19.75 to $1477.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.77% or 0.43 to hit $55.23 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.20% or 1.36 to trade at $60.53 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 5.5671, while EUR/TRY rose 0.97% to 6.2332.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 97.287.
