Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Metal Products & Machinery and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 7.38% or 0.310 points to trade at 4.510 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 4.29% or 0.270 points to end at 6.570 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 4.02% or 0.130 points to 3.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC), which fell 7.43% or 0.310 points to trade at 3.860 at the close. Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO) declined 6.45% or 0.350 points to end at 5.080 and Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) was down 5.71% or 0.73 points to 12.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 249 to 120 and 40 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.26% or 15.89 to $1278.49 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $49.26 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.46% or 0.24 to trade at $52.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 3.5374, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 4.1568.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.48.
