Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Sports and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which rose 8.09% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.470 at the close. Meanwhile, Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) added 5.04% or 0.230 points to end at 4.790 and Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) was up 3.16% or 1.34 points to 43.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA), which fell 5.63% or 0.250 points to trade at 4.190 at the close. Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) declined 4.63% or 1.18 points to end at 24.30 and Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) was down 3.76% or 0.240 points to 6.140.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 281 to 92 and 34 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 3.08 to $1293.18 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.51% or 0.25 to hit $48.34 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.27 to trade at $51.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.07% to 3.5389, while EUR/TRY rose 0.19% to 4.1810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 93.06.
