Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Tourism, Telecoms and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN), which rose 5.56% or 0.210 points to trade at 3.990 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 4.84% or 1.50 points to end at 32.50 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was up 2.47% or 0.170 points to 7.040 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 4.50% or 0.43 points to trade at 9.12 at the close. EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) declined 3.48% or 0.160 points to end at 4.440 and Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS) was down 2.95% or 0.130 points to 4.280.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 249 to 107 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 5.56% or 0.210 to 3.990.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.08% or 1.05 to $1281.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.97% or 0.46 to hit $47.20 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.28% or 0.64 to trade at $49.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.54% to 3.5300, while EUR/TRY rose 0.36% to 3.9721.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 96.80.
