Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Sports and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which rose 9.98% or 3.26 points to trade at 35.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Sdt Uzay ve Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:SDTTR) added 9.98% or 26.00 points to end at 286.50 and Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) was up 9.97% or 0.86 points to 9.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK), which fell 5.44% or 1.80 points to trade at 31.26 at the close. Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK) declined 4.58% or 3.10 points to end at 64.60 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was down 4.33% or 1.00 points to 22.12.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 300 to 248 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.14% or 3.20 to $2,360.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.14% or 0.94 to hit $81.39 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.11% or 0.95 to trade at $84.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.62% to 32.88, while EUR/TRY rose 0.54% to 35.58.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 104.87.
