Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 9.90% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.330 at the close. Meanwhile, Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) added 9.22% or 5.65 points to end at 66.95 and Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) was up 7.48% or 1.58 points to 22.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which fell 5.38% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.230 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 5.26% or 0.020 points to end at 0.360 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) was down 4.16% or 0.46 points to 10.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 212 to 155 and 41 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1206.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.47% or 0.33 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.15 to trade at $77.87 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.51% to 6.6155, while EUR/TRY fell 1.33% to 7.6715.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 95.09.
