Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Insurance and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 5.81% or 0.590 points to trade at 10.740 at the close. Meanwhile, Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) added 4.80% or 2.950 points to end at 64.450 and Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) was up 4.58% or 0.110 points to 2.510 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM), which fell 13.73% or 0.140 points to trade at 0.880 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 12.08% or 1.110 points to end at 8.080 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was down 11.64% or 0.780 points to 5.920.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 236 to 130 and 39 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) rose to all time highs; rising 4.80% or 2.950 to 64.450.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 1.75 to $1513.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.18% or 0.10 to hit $56.23 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.23% or 0.74 to trade at $60.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.26% to 5.7115, while EUR/TRY fell 0.26% to 6.3391.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 98.058.
