Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 9.49% or 0.580 points to trade at 6.690 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) added 5.58% or 0.150 points to end at 2.840 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 5.19% or 0.220 points to 4.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which fell 2.18% or 0.500 points to trade at 22.400 at the close. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 1.99% or 0.30 points to end at 14.80 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) was down 1.98% or 0.66 points to 32.72.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 255 to 104 and 45 ended unchanged.

Shares in Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.58% or 0.150 to 2.840. Shares in Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.19% or 0.220 to 4.460.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.17% or 2.20 to $1320.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.23% or 0.14 to hit $61.77 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.09 to trade at $67.75 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.87% to 3.7488, while EUR/TRY fell 0.38% to 4.5305.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 91.61.
