Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which rose 19.53% or 0.250 points to trade at 1.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) added 3.08% or 1.20 points to end at 40.10 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was up 3.03% or 0.60 points to 20.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which fell 4.76% or 1.06 points to trade at 21.20 at the close. Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) declined 3.51% or 0.060 points to end at 1.650 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was down 3.32% or 0.080 points to 2.330.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 214 to 151 and 42 ended unchanged.
Shares in ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.32% or 0.080 to 2.330.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.05% or 0.60 to $1248.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.06% or 1.05 to hit $52.05 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.20% or 0.72 to trade at $60.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.92% to 5.3739, while EUR/TRY rose 0.60% to 6.0890.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 97.393.
