Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Food & Beverages and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM), which rose 5.88% or 0.31 points to trade at 5.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) added 5.63% or 0.200 points to end at 3.750 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 3.75% or 0.96 points to 26.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC), which fell 2.31% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.540 at the close. Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) declined 2.25% or 0.050 points to end at 2.170 and Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) was down 2.23% or 0.14 points to 6.13.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 252 to 114 and 43 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.30% or 3.80 to $1255.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.10% or 0.80 to hit $73.74 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.45% or 0.35 to trade at $77.04 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.36% to 4.5761, while EUR/TRY fell 0.03% to 5.3743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 93.79.
